WEST HOLLYWOOD: The City Council has decided to draft a conflict-of-interest resolution that would bar the city from funding any organization whose board members include council members, top city employees or their spouses or partners.
The council passed an early version of the measure, sponsored by Councilman Steve Martin, 3 to 1, with one abstention.
The council is expected to vote on the final draft at its Oct. 3 meeting.
Sources said the measure would probably force several high-ranking city employees to resign from the boards of various organizations.
