Two Winston Cup crew chiefs were fined $2,000 apiece Sunday for rules violations found during technical inspection on Friday at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia.

Mike Hillman, crew chief for the car owned by Dean Meyers and driven by Dick Trickle, and Ken Glenn, crew chief for the car owned by Cale Yarborough and driven by rookie Jeremy Mayfield, were fined after NASCAR inspectors found the trailing arms--part of the drive system--on those two cars exceeded the allowable .120-inch thickness.
