From Associated Press

Alan May scored the winning goal after assisting on the tying score in the Dallas Stars' 3-2 exhibition victory over the Kings on Tuesday.

The Stars (4-1-4) are tied with the Washington Capitals, New Jersey Devils and St. Louis Blues for the most points during the exhibition season with 12.

Jamie Storr, the Kings' first-round pick in the 1994 draft, stopped 24 of 25 shots for the Kings (4-3-1) before being replaced.

With the Stars trailing, 2-1, May assisted on Jarkko Varvio's goal at 5:04 of the third period. That came 29 seconds after John Druce had put the Kings ahead.

At 7:12, May scored the winning goal against Robb Stauber.

Darryl Sydor gave the Kings a 1-0 lead at 16:48 of the first period.

Dave Gagner tied the score at 1-1 when he scored at 9:28 of the second.

Earlier Tuesday, forward Gino Odjick of the Vancouver Canucks was suspended for 10 regular-season games as the result of an altercation during an exhibition game against the Kings.

Odjick was approaching the Vancouver bench late in the third period when he turned and joined the altercation, spearing the Kings' Warren Rychel and then fighting with him. Odjick was assessed a game misconduct for his actions.
