LOS ALAMITOS : Heza Fast Man Heads Top Field
Tonight’s featured race at Los Alamitos, the $20,000 Vandy’s Flash Handicap, has drawn a tougher field than the $20,000 purse would indicate.
Heza Fast Man, a talented 3-year-old colt trained by John Bassett, will be making his 1994 Los Alamitos debut in the race. The colt won last year’s Texas Classic Futurity, ran a close second in the All-American Futurity behind A Classic Dash and finished second in the All-American Derby this year.
Ridden by Henry Garcia, Heza Fast Man faces a tough field that includes Los Alamitos stakes winners Daily Triple, Rainbow Sun, Sticky N Picky, Lil Bita Brunch, Assured Dash and Time For Royal Cash.
