Service: Groups Get City Grants
Three Westside community service groups have received city grants to continue their work.
Recipients were:
* The West Los Angeles-based Self-Help and Recovery Exchange program, known as SHARE, operated by the Emotional Health Assn., which received $200 for its free emotional and mental health help programs.
* Pets are Wonderful Support (P.A.W.S./LA), an HIV-care nonprofit agency based in West Hollywood, but serving many people in western Los Angeles, received $100.
* The city attorney office’s Dispute Resolution Program, created to mediate problems in Venice’s Oakwood community, was given $125.
The grants are funded through the city’s general purpose fund.
