Gov. Richards, Bush’s Son Running Even in Texas

HOUSTON —
Texas Democratic Gov. Ann Richards and her Republican challenger, George W. Bush, are in a virtual dead heat, a poll published Sunday says.
Richards led the former President’s son by 42.9% to 41.3%, with 9.8% undecided in the Houston Post-KHOU-TV statewide poll of 676 likely voters conducted Sept. 23-28.
