Boardroom Crooks

Share

The Department of Corporations, the attorney general’s office and the Department of Real Estate are supposed to protect the taxpayers of this state. Why are Gov. Pete Wilson and Atty. Gen. Dan Lungren fighting to make the streets safe from crime and doing nothing about crooks in the boardroom?

Why do these same people, who let Charles Keating run wild over the taxpayers for so long, not do something to protect the people from white-collar crimes? Why doesn’t the attorney general protect taxpaying residents whose lives are ruined by unscrupulous businessmen? After the taxpayers have lost their life savings due to corrupt businessmen and must plead for help, should we thank the attorney general for making the streets safe for begging?
