Station Parking Rules Senseless

Share

What kind of mentality came up with the brilliant idea of three-hour parking at the Fullerton Amtrak station? One cannot even take the train to Santa Ana and back to Fullerton in three hours.

The multilevel parking structure also has three-hour spaces and 72-hour parking on the uppermost levels and is always filled with commuters’ cars from every adjacent city. What on earth does 72 hours relate to?

As a Fullerton citizen I resent the fact that I can’t even park and take the train to help alleviate the congestion on the freeways and help to keep the air clean. Aren’t these two issues that environmentalists are always blathering about?

I have a solution: Completely restructure the entire Transportation Center parking by using some common sense and getting rid of all the three-hour parking inside the structure. It relates to nothing.
