Countywide : California Savings Bonds Offered for Sale
Investors can purchase California Savings Bonds during an eight-day ordering period that begins today.
State Treasury officials said the savings bonds are attractive to small investors because they come in $1,000 denominations.
Bond income is free of federal and state taxes. Officials said the bonds are often used by families saving money for college.
