Share

Laura Herron, a deputy city manager in Simi Valley, has been appointed director of the city’s General Services Department.

In her new role, Herron will oversee city spending, personnel and customer service, and will take charge of a project to overhaul the city’s computer system. She will receive an annual salary of $80,650, up from $76,400 as deputy city manager.

Herron, 38, replaces John McMillan, who left the city in September. Interim director Donald Penman will head general services for another six to eight weeks until the city can find a replacement for Herron.
