Share

Golden West College has picked five distinguished former students for induction into this year’s Pillar of Achievement.

The pillar, similar in concept to a hall of fame, is a permanent monument honoring outstanding alumni of the community college. This year’s induction ceremony for the Pillar of Achievement will be held on campus Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.

The five to be honored this year are:

* Michael P. Caligiuri, a neuroscientist who is the Motor Function Laboratory director at San Diego’s Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is also an assistant adjunct professor of psychiatry at the UC San Diego School of Medicine.
