GARDEN GROVE : Candidate Interviews to Be Televised Today
Paragon Cable’s Channel 3A will air taped interviews today with City Council and mayoral candidates.
The broadcasts will start with the five candidates for mayor appearing at noon and continue with the 12 council candidates featured at 1 p.m.
“It’s a little different format,” said co-producer and show host Bob Nash. “We decided to let the viewers get to know the candidates in a series of one-on-one interviews. It produced some rather interesting comments, more candid than you might get in an open forum.”
The interviews of council candidates will be broadcast again at 4 p.m. today, and the mayoral candidate interviews will be rebroadcast at 6:30 p.m. The programs will be replayed for the rest of the week and during the first week of November, Nash said.
The program is sponsored by the Garden Grove Cable Television Corp. and Paragon Cable and financed in part by a city grant.
