Share

Bookworms can find bargains galore this weekend at book sales at Huntington Beach Central Library and the Fountain Valley Library.

At the Central Library, 7111 Talbert Ave., readers can buy books at two sales--today and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Prices range from 25 cents and up, with some art books from $18 to $20, said Mary Morgan, event co-chairwoman.

“This is the largest sale we’ve ever pulled together. There are thousands of books,” Morgan said. “We had about 600 boxes of books we unloaded.”

For a dollar, people can also buy a bag of books at Huntington Beach Central Library from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Books will also be sold for half price from 1 to 6:45 p.m. Monday.

Fountain Valley Library, 17635 Los Alamos St., behind City Hall on Slater Avenue, will hold a “buc-a-bag” sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
