Volleyball Club Wins 3 Matches

The Balboa Bay Volleyball Club won all three of its matches Friday to advance in the Sandcastle Classic International tournament in White Rock, Canada.

In the first match against Team Santa Cruz, Jeremy Bart had 14 kills, eight blocks and teammate Jody Cook-Fisher had eight kills and eight digs in the 15-7, 15-4 victory. Matt Wright had 36 assists for Balboa Bay.

Curtis Jackson had 10 kills and eight digs to lead Balboa in the second match, against a British Columbia team from Port Moody. Rob Schildts added 10 kills and four aces in the 15-8, 15-5 victory.

In the third match, against Semiahmoo, Canada, Rawi Jackson had 15 kills and nine blocks and Wright had 36 assist in a 15-6, 15-10 victory.
