The Voice of Raul Julia
It’s ironic that not long after the results of surveys demonstrating lack of Latin representation in the show business world, we lost Raul Julia. His career was short in comparison to fellow thespian Burt Lancaster, but Julia was young and he had such potential. He had a great talent, and I’m grateful.
I personally enjoyed his voice. One evening in summer I was zapping through my remote and came across a documentary on political unrest, but the narrator of the program--the voice sounded so familiar. His voice had a charming resonance. Although that voice is silent now, it was heard long enough to leave a solid mark.
