1 day to go before Californians go to the polls

THE GOVERNOR’S RACE

* What Happened Sunday: Republican Pete Wilson traveled with other members of the GOP ticket to Riverside, Monrovia and Costa Mesa. Brown held rallies in San Diego and Sacramento, and attended a No-on-Proposition 187 gathering at West Los Angeles United Methodist Church.

* What’s Ahead: Democrat Kathleen Brown will hold rallies at the College of San Mateo and Cal State Northridge, and end her campaign with an appearance at the Jewish Home for the Aging in Reseda. Wilson will spend his final day of campaigning at rallies in San Jose, Long Beach, Orange County and San Diego.

THE SENATE RACE

* What Happened Sunday: Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Huffington appeared at a Monrovia rally in favor of the “three strikes” ballot measure and at the GOP gathering in Costa Mesa. U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat, campaigned in San Luis Obispo and Pasadena.

* What’s Ahead: Feinstein will hold a morning rally at her Los Angeles headquarters, then will hold additional rallies in Sacramento and San Francisco. Huffington planned rallies in San Luis Obispo, Sacramento, Fresno, Van Nuys, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
