Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday were investigating an accident where a car struck and seriously injured two Westlake High School students walking near the school.
Heather Altreche, 18, of Thousand Oaks was driving south on Lakeview Canyon Road near the high school Tuesday evening when her car drifted to the right, hitting the two teen-age girls, authorities said.
The teen-agers were taken to Westlake Medical Center. Bahar Amirian, 17, was treated for a knee fracture and released. Jeanne Nilsen, 17, was treated for multiple head injuries and remained in the hospital late Wednesday, deputies said.
