Quarterback Chris Miller, who continues to struggle with the effects of a concussion suffered Oct. 23, was expected to meet with the Rams’ team doctor late Wednesday.

“My head still doesn’t feel right,” Miller said. “I still have swelling, and pressure in my head. . . . It isn’t right.

“I’m going to see the doctor to get this thing cleared up or at least see what’s going on.”

Quarterback Chris Chandler, who suffered a concussion last week, reported no problems after a full day of practice.

“I had a little bit of a sore jaw Monday, but my head feels pretty good now,” said Chandler, who will start against the Raiders. “I had one concussion in Tampa and one in Indianapolis, but they were mild. Compared to a lot of guys, I guess I’ve been lucky.”

Tight end Troy Drayton and cornerback Todd Lyght said they were not reprimanded for suggesting after Sunday’s game that the offensive coaching staff should start getting the ball to someone other than running back Jerome Bettis.

“I’d like to know what they’re thinking, but then again they don’t have to tell me,” Drayton said. “I’m kind of surprised they didn’t come to me, but then I’m kind of not. I’m not whining; I’m just trying to make the point that I can help us win. If they take it the wrong way, that’s them.”

Said Lyght: “That was nothing negative. I was just saying we have some great players on offense, that our productivity could go up at any time.”

The Rams tried three Bettis rushes from the one and failed to score against the Broncos in a situation that could have put the game away. The coaching staff tried to send in a pass play, but Chandler didn’t get the call.
