Orchestra Off Own Program

Share

Cash-flow problems have forced the Orange County Chamber Orchestra off its own program Sunday at the Irvine Barclay Theatre. Instead, only pianist William Wolfram and violinist Diana Halprin, the orchestra’s music director, will play. Wolfram will play Liszt’s transcription of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, and Halprin will play works for solo violin, the Chaconne in D minor from Bach’s Partita No. 2 and several etudes.

Halprin said the organization remains financially sound, and she expects the full orchestra to play its remaining three concerts of the season as scheduled.

The concert will begin at 2:30 p.m. (714) 839-6569.
