NEWPORT BEACH : Hotel Wins Award for Energy Efficiency
Le Meridien Hotel has received an energy efficiency award from Southern California Edison Co. for installing energy efficiency equipment and adopting practices that will reduce energy consumption and save the hotel up to $50,000 a year.
The measures include variable-speed drive controls on air conditioners and water pumps and controls that reduce air conditioning and use outdoor air when the weather cools.
