HOLE’S HOLE: What about Janet Billig’s other acts? Will they stay or follow Courtney Love’s lead and find new homes? Lots of people will be watching because Billig’s other Gold Mountain clients included such highly regarded acts as the Breeders, Dinosaur Jr. and the Lemonheads.

Gold Mountain President Ron Stone says the company--whose alternative rock roster also includes Sonic Youth and the Beastie Boys--will do “everything possible” to keep Billig’s bands in the fold.
