NBA : Malone Leads Jazz to Victory
Karl Malone scored 29 points Monday night and the Utah Jazz ran off 15 consecutive points during the fourth quarter in a 110-97 victory over the New York Knicks.
John Stockton added 20 points and 14 assists for the Jazz, who held the Knicks scoreless for 5:48 during the fourth-period burst.
John Starks finished with 35 points, including seven three-point baskets, but the Knick guard was held to only two points in the final 10:07. Patrick Ewing added 18 points, but only two in the fourth quarter, and had two crucial turnovers during Utah’s deciding run.
Antoine Carr scored four points in the Jazz run, and Malone scored eight points in the fourth quarter.
