Kodak to Cut 800 Jobs at Largest Plant: The layoffs, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 1995, are mostly additional to those announced in August, 1993, at the Rochester, N.Y., company. Production and other operations workers will not be affected. Eastman Kodak Co. said the cuts at the Kodak Park plant in Rochester are part of a drive to concentrate on the photographic products business and reduce debt. Instead of a companywide mandate for reductions, each of Kodak’s divisions will set its own goals for contributing to overall performance. Similar reductions may be necessary in other areas of the company as unit managers adjust operations and budgets, Kodak said.
