Countywide : HIV/AIDS Awareness Posters to Be Shown
Entries in the annual HIV/AIDS Awareness Poster Contest will be on display this week in Santa Ana. The contest is sponsored by the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross, in cooperation with AIDS Walk Orange County.
The posters can be viewed from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the John C. Coehlo Center, 600 N. Parkcenter Drive.
Several hundred entries have been received from elementary, junior high, high school and college students, and from the public. A separate competition is being held for graphic design professionals.
Contest winners will be recognized at UC Irvine as part of the World AIDS Day Observance. The awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 in the university’s Crystal Cove Auditorium.
