COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NATION : Michigan State Probe Under Way
The NCAA has begun investigating charges by former Michigan State player Roosevelt Wagner that players received cash handouts, free car loans and had grades fixed for them. The school and the NCAA are carrying out a joint investigation, and NCAA officials were on campus Wednesday for interviews. . . . NCAA officials said sanctions against the Mississippi football program will be announced today. Ole Miss has been charged with 14 violations by the NCAA enforcement staff.
