THE REGION : Black Doll Exhibit Participants Sought

Doll makers, doll exhibitors and collectors are wanted for the 14th annual Black Doll Exhibit, presented by the William Grant Still Arts Center, 2520 W. View St.
Established as a tradition by Friends of William Grant Still, the exhibit brings together a wide range of dolls with historical and artistic value.
This year’s exhibit, “Doll as Companion, Image and Treasure,” will examine the black doll as toy, spirit guide and collectible through various periods in history.
The show will run in conjunction with school tours, holiday bazaars, doll-making workshops and other special activities and events.
The exhibit opens Dec. 18 and runs through Feb. 28. Items should be submitted by Nov. 28.
