Planning Commission meeting

Where: City Hall Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way

What: Commission will consider a request by Fancher Development Services Inc. to open a fast-food restaurant with a drive-through lane at 14042 Red Hill Ave. Also on the agenda is a request by Red Robin International to establish a temporary parking area on a vacant portion of Tustin Market Place property. Red Robin restaurant is at 3015 El Camino Real.

Buena Park

City Council study session

When: Today, 5 p.m.

Where: Civic Center Plaza, 6650 Beach Blvd.

What: Council expected to give final approval to a revision of the comprehensive General Plan. Council gave preliminary approval to the plan over the objections of two school systems last week. The schools have said that they should get more revenue from a planned residential development on the site of the Lincoln Drive-In.

Santa Ana

Unified School District and Neighborhood Committee meeting

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Where: First Presbyterian Church, 600 N. Main St.

What: Discussion about floor plans for a “space saver” intermediate school to be constructed at Bristol Marketplace. Space-saver schools typically have several stories, instead of taking up land with single-floor buildings.

La Habra

City Council meeting

When: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

Where: City Hall, 201 E. La Habra Blvd.

What: Council will consider amending its anti-graffiti ordinance to crack down on vandals. The amendment may include imposing fines on those who break the law.

Westminster

Joint meeting of City Council and Redevelopment Agency

When: Tuesday, 5 p.m.

Where: Council Chambers, 8200 Westminster Blvd.

What: Joint study session on the proposed Community Cultural Center. Architects from the firm Anthony & Langsford will present new designs requested by council members. Also to be considered is a proposal to install more entry signs into the city. Signs have already been installed at the north and south entrance to the city on Beach Boulevard.
