Winds Disrupt Electricity
SHERMAN OAKS —
High winds caused a power outage that affected about 3,200 homes from the southern section of Sherman Oaks to the northern portion of Bel Air, a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokeswoman said Sunday.
The power outage at 8:30 p.m. Saturday left customers without electricity for an hour, said DWP spokeswoman Darlene Battle.
“The high winds knocked out circuits in the area distributing station,” she said.
