PACOIMA : Police Investigate Burglary, Death
Los Angeles police continued an investigation Tuesday into the death of actress Lindsay Wagner’s 89-year-old grandfather, who was discovered dead inside his Pacoima home, which had apparently been burglarized, authorities said.
Virgil Wagner was found Nov. 23 at his home in the 12800 block of Sunburst Street after a neighbor phoned police and reported the front door was open, Los Angeles Police Detective Frank Bishop said. On Tuesday, family members searched through the house and determined items were missing.
“We’re stuck with a burglary and a natural death,” Bishop said. “Right now, the investigation indicates they are not related.”
Bishop said detectives will try to identify the burglars. Results of an autopsy performed Monday are pending the completion of the police investigation.
“There are no indications he died of violent means, but you never know,” Bishop said in an earlier interview.
