ON LINE: Rock journalists Dave Marsh, Griel Marcus and Michael Azzerad will be featured in a new Internet music magazine, Addicted to Noise, launched by Rolling Stone contributing editor Michael Goldberg in partnership with the Internet Underground Music Archives, a service that has thus far focused on giving unsigned rock artists access to Internet users.
Addicted to Noise’s debut “issue” hits the cyberspace this weekend. The magazine is available at no charge, though you must have direct access to the Internet and a high-speed modem. It can be accessed at the address https://www.iuma.com /ATN/.
“We’re encouraging writers to use their own voices, rather than write for a specific style,” Goldberg says. “I’d like to have the spirit of early Creem and early Rolling Stone.”
