A new brochure from the American Automobile Assn. may help temper some of your fears about sending your child off alone on an airplane. “Flying Alone: Handy Advice for Kids Traveling Solo” offers suggestions on making reservations, packing, dressing; covers some of the safeguards that airlines use to make sure that little travelers arrive when and where they are supposed to, and includes a checklist for parents. “Flying Alone” is available at many AAA offices by sending a stamped, self-addressed business-sized envelope to: Flying Alone, Mail Stop 800, 1000 AAA Drive, Heathrow, Fla. 32746.
