Four-Star Films : ‘Gone With the Wind’

Now that you’ve seen “Scarlett”--or even if you haven’t--here’s a chance to see, minus commercials and segmenting, the most beloved American movie of them all. The glorious 1939 David O. Selnick production of Margaret Mitchell’s Civil War novel has a perfect cast, headed by Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O’Hara (pictured) and Clark Gable as Rhett Butler. The great thing about “GWTW” is that it means different things at different ages; the older you get it seems more about survival than romance (TBS Tuesday at 5:05 p.m.).
