Balboa Bay Club Appoints Sales Chief; 2 VPs Chosen at Holmes & Narver Unit

Celeste Jabczenski has been appointed executive sales and marketing director for the Balboa Bay Club, a 15-acre waterfront property in Newport Beach. She was formerly national sales manager for Loews Coronado Bay Resort. Jabczenski has also held sales positions at the Surf & Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach, the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego and the Four Seasons Hotel and Hyatt Newporter in Newport Beach.

* Daniel R. McKelvie and Michael Flynn have been appointed vice presidents of the Architecture-Engineering Program Management Group, a business unit of Holmes & Narver Inc. in Orange. McKelvie, director of client development, has organized and led activities in the firm’s military market as well as new commercial and state and local government areas. Flynn heads marketing activities in non-military areas.

* Satoshi Yuasa has been appointed executive vice president of Shimano American Corp. in Irvine. He will be responsible for operations of the bicycle component and fishing tackle divisions in the United States. Before his appointment, Yuasa was based at Shimano Inc.’s headquarters in Japan.

* Ron Nelson has joined Morrison, Lee & Stevens, an Irvine advertising and public relations agency, as senior account executive. He was previously director of advertising and public relations for Warmington Homes.

* John H. Berger has been appointed to the internal audit staff of Pacific Scientific Co., a Newport Beach manufacturer of electrical and safety equipment. He was also appointed corporate coordinator of data processing. Berger has previously held accounting and computer operations positions at Broadway Stores Inc. and Hughes Aircraft Co.

* Steve Walker has been made a partner in the Newport Beach accounting firm of Haskell & White. He has more than 12 years’ experience in the tax area of public accounting, specializing in real estate development, construction and partnerships.

* Dave Celestin has joined Nolte & Associates Inc. as managing principal of the Orange County office in Aliso Viejo. Before joining the engineering firm, Celestin was vice president of planning and governmental relations for Mission Viejo Co. for 17 years. He also spent more than 15 years working for the cities of Cerritos, San Dimas, Duarte and West Covina.

* Jane Hauck has been appointed director of design for Greystone Interiors, the in-house design center for Greystone Homes South Coast in Newport Beach. Hauck previously was vice president and general manager of the Forecast Group’s design division in Rancho Cucamonga. She has also worked for M.J. Brock & Sons Inc. and Tradewinds-West Inc., both residential developers.
