PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : No Break Found in Hostetler’s Hand

Share

Many quarterbacks don’t know if they have had good games until they have seen the films. Jeff Hostetler doesn’t know if he’s had a good game until he’s seen the X-rays.

For the third time in four weeks, Hostetler has needed postgame medical tests. And for the third time, he has passed them.

X-rays of his injured left hand--his non-throwing hand--after Monday night’s game against the San Diego Chargers were negative. Hostetler’s left hand was cut when defensive back Darrien Gordon stepped on him as Hostetler rolled out of bounds.

“It’s a good thing it wasn’t a defensive lineman,” Hostetler said.

Gordon weighs 182 pounds.

Hostetler sat out three plays, then returned.

His left hand is bandaged, but he is not expected to miss any playing time.

The Raiders are reporting brisk sales for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, but tickets in all price categories remain and at this point, a sellout does not appear imminent.
