Outlook: Marcus, who lost only three games in three seasons as Edison’s JV coach, takes over a talented and experienced group led by Clutter (a first-team all-league selection last season), Barnhart, Dena, Marcus and Fial (a second-team all-league pick). After making the playoffs as a wild-card team last season, Edison upset top-seeded Royal in the playoffs’ first round before losing to Santa Monica. Uliaz is a transfer from Arcadia High who played in Australia last year. If the Chargers can stay healthy--they weren’t able to last season--they should do a lot better than a wild-card berth this season.
