Four students recently were honored by the Tustin Unified School District board, two for community service and two for winning a citywide art competition.
Jack Hol, a junior at Foothill High School, received the Circle of Life award from the Assn. of Volunteer Administration, a nonprofit group, for his volunteer work in disaster relief.
Another Foothill High student, Skorn Ponrartana, a senior, received the same award for his work with the Orange County Summit for Children, a forum that discussed issues affecting children.
Kristin Elms and Melissa Cameron, both fifth-graders at Barbara Benson Elementary School, won the top awards in the second annual Anti-Graffiti Poster contest sponsored by Tustin Pride.
Elms received $50 from the Tustin Police Officers Assn. for winning first place, and her poster was displayed at the annual Tiller Days festival. Cameron was awarded an honorable mention.
