ENGLAND SWINGS: “The world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll band” is preparing to conquer new territory. The Rolling Stones, having broken their own U.S. concert tour box-office record, are exploring the possibility of having concerts next summer or fall in Moscow, Istanbul and even Beijing.

“On this tour, the Stones are very keen to play unusual places and places that they’ve never been to before,” says the group’s British spokesman Bernard Doherty. “For instance, they’ve never played in South America, and they’re going there in February.”

There have been rumors that the Beijing concert would be a free show in the infamous Tian An Men Square, but Doherty says that is unlikely.

There’s also talk of a “Voodoo Lounge” tour documentary film. Crews have been shooting footage of both performances and backstage scenes.
