Brief Mention Fails to Fully Explore a Life Touched By Angels
Roy Rivenberg’s story (“Heaven,” Dec. 2) mentioned Emanuel Swedenborg, but it failed to mention that he spoke with angels almost daily for 28 years. During that time he wrote 30 volumes detailing his experiences and conversations. Each of those volumes contains information about angels and other spirits.
Probably his most popular book is “Heaven and Hell,” telling about the lives of the angels, what they do, what they eat, where they live, how they are governed.
It tells about the devils, too, how they live and eat and fight. And it tells what happens to people when they die and how they get ready for either heaven or hell.

Thank you for the delightful article (“Heaven,” Dec. 2). It was nice to read a lively discussion of what heaven might look like.
It’s certainly a lot more agreeable than the acrimonious manner by which some groups rant and rave that they have the only way to get there.
