My husband and I are third-generation Californians, born and raised in San Francisco, and when we travel to our favorite city to visit friends and relatives, we also go there to eat at our favorite restaurants. I cannot understand how S. Irene Virbila recommends mostly French restaurants and eliminates the excellent Italian places (“Where Should I Eat?” Oct. 16). Also, in selecting the Top 10 why not mention Tadich’s (best seafood restaurant) or one of the many excellent Chinese restaurants? For travelers with just three nights, don’t make it mostly French, even though Virbila loves it!
