COLLEGE BASKETBALL : No. 12 Minnesota Improves to 6-0

Townsend Orr scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half to lead 12th-ranked Minnesota to a 90-65 victory over Rhode Island on Sunday at Minneapolis.

Orr scored 11 points in the final 12:36 of the first half as the Golden Gophers (6-0) rolled to a 51-27 halftime lead in their first game since Dec. 1.

Rhode Island (3-2) scored 13 consecutive points early in the second half to close to within 59-47 with 12:43 to play before Orr made a layup to start a 10-2 run.

Seton Hall 99, Nevada Las Vegas 79--Donnell Williams, who sat out last season because of a foot injury, scored 21 points to lead the Pirates (4-2) over the Rebels (0-2) at East Rutherford, N.J.
