Stock Exchange Inquiry: Helionetics Inc. said Tuesday that it is cooperating with an American Stock Exchange inquiry into its financial reports and the company’s alleged failure to comply with certain securities laws. The company made the statement after a published report suggested that the company wasn’t cooperating with the exchange’s investigation. The company said the inquiry focuses on three quarterly reports for 1994 and its 1993 annual report. Helionetics removed its shares from the exchange on Nov. 22 and has yet to resume trading. Helionetics said it is considering delisting its shares from the American exchange and trading over the counter or on another exchange. The company, based in Irvine, makes electronics and lighting.
