Alpha Microsystems’ President Tullio Will Assume COO Duties

John D. Murray will resign as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Alpha Microsystems, a Santa Ana information technology products and services company, effective Jan. 15. The company said the resignation is because of medical problems in Murray’s family. Douglas J. Tullio, president and chief executive, will assume the duties of chief operating officer. Murray will remain an assistant to the president on a part-time basis until the end of the company’s fiscal year, Feb. 26.

* Jeffrey W. Broker and Sean A. O’Keefe have formed the law firm of Broker & O’Keefe in Irvine, specializing in bankruptcy and insolvency law, workouts and related commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Broker and O’Keefe were formerly partners of Lobel, Winthrop & Broker.

* James L. Richter has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for the commercial, industrial and medical molding groups of Cimco Inc., a Costa Mesa thermoplastic components manufacturer. He previously held management positions at General Electric and Dow Chemical companies.

* Thomas H. Grifferty has been named regional vice president for international operations at First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. Grifferty joined First American in 1987 as manager for Canadian operations and was appointed vice president for Canadian operations in 1991.

* Anthony J. Herrera has been appointed vice president at Union Bank. He is a manager in the North Orange County Business Banking Center. Before joining Union Bank in September, Herrera was a vice president and manager for First Interstate Bank of California.

* Raymond P. Weamer has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president and regional sales manager for the Southwest region of Money Store Investment Corp. in Irvine. In his new position, he will lead a sales team of business development officers in the eight-state region. Previously, Weamer was a business development officer in the San Diego office.
