Countywide : Christmas Tree Recycling

Although bankruptcy has forced the county to cancel its tree recycling program this year, the loss will be offset because all 31 cities in the county offer similar services.

Cities that require residents to drop off their trees include:

* Buena Park at 7171 Thomas St. from Dec. 26 through Jan. 26;

* Santa Ana at Alona Park, 1817 W. 21st St. and Memorial Park, 2101 Flower St., on Jan. 7;

* Tustin, at Columbus Tustin Park on Jan. 7 and 8.

Curbside collection is available in:

* Anaheim from Dec. 26 to Jan. 6

* Brea from Dec. 26 to Jan. 6

* Costa Mesa from Jan. 2 to Jan. 13

* Dana Point from Jan. 2 to Jan. 13

* Fullerton from Dec. 26 to Jan. 13

* Garden Grove from Dec. 26 to Jan. 6

* Huntington Beach from Dec. 26 to Jan. 13

* La Habra dates aren’t set, but collection information will be televised on cable channel 3

* La Palma from Dec. 26 to Jan. 6
