Suspected Gang Members Sought in Beating of Teen
Police were seeking four to five suspected gang members who severely beat a 14-year-old La Palma boy Tuesday.
The boy, who was not identified, was in serious condition with head injuries at UCI Medical Center in Orange after being kicked and beaten with fists and bottles near Windsong Avenue and Bellhaven Street, said Sgt. Jeff Kirkpatrick.
Police found the boy unconscious and convulsing on the sidewalk shortly before 4 p.m., Kirkpatrick said.
The suspects--described by police only as teen-age Asian boys--fled in a light blue Honda Civic, Kirkpatrick said. He said they shouted the name of a gang based in Buena Park and Cerritos as they beat the boy.
