Cold-Shooting Waves Lose, 77-62
Joey Stephens scored 23 points Wednesday night and Malik Dixon added 22 as Arkansas Little Rock defeated Pepperdine, 77-62, in the second game of the Hoosier Classic.
The Trojans (6-1) will face No. 24 Indiana tonight after the Waves (2-8) play Eastern Kentucky in the consolation game.
Stephens made nine of 12 shots from the field and all five free throws.
Monte Marcaccini led Pepperdine with 17 points, 12 in the first half. Clark James also scored 15 points for the Waves, and Gavin Vanderputten added 12 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
Pepperdine shot only 39.6% (21 for 53).
