County’s Construction Activity Up 15% in Year
Construction activity in Ventura County in 1994 increased 15% over 1993, according to Dataquick Information Systems.
The real estate reporting service said construction loans issued in the county last year totaled $147 million, compared with $128 million the previous year.
The report does not include the final week of either year, but Dataquick said it was unlikely that the trend changed significantly.
Ventura County trailed Southern California and the state as a whole in construction growth last year. The construction activity pace increased almost 24% in Southern California in 1994 and nearly 30% statewide.
