IRVINE : Mardan Center Founder Wins Award
David Eisenman, founder and executive director of the Mardan Center for Educational Therapy, has received the United Way of Orange County’s Alexis de Tocqueville Humanitarian Award.
Through his Mardan Center in Irvine, Eisenman has worked for more than 30 years with Orange County students who have learning disabilities and emotional problems.
Eisenman also serves on the governor’s advisory committee for block grant funding for public and private schools in California.
The Alexis de Tocqueville Society is a group of community leaders who donate $10,000 or more annually through the United Way Campaign.
