LAGUNA HILLS : Seats Open on Parks, Traffic Commissions
- Share via
Residents interested in being a traffic commissioner or a parks and recreation commissioner have only one more day to turn in applications for the positions. The deadline is 5 p.m. Thursday.
The Traffic Commission has one opening, and the Parks and Recreation Commission has three, said City Clerk Mary A. Carlson. Commissioners serve for two years.
Traffic commissioners review traffic, parking and public safety conditions in the city. They meet the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
The Parks and Recreation Commission confers with the city’s parks and recreation director about the development of recreation programs and makes recommendations about working with schools to use their recreational facilities. That commission meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
