U.S.-Britain Travel Monopoly? A U.S. District Court in New York said it will consider whether British Airways monopolized air travel between the United States and Britain, as Virgin Atlantic Airways has alleged. Virgin filed the antitrust suit against British Airways more than a year ago and seeks $325 million in damages. Its allegations center on claims that British Airways used unfair and illegal tactics to poach customers.
