City Manager Greg Hulsizer will resign on Jan. 31 to become the general manager of the SR 91 Express Lanes Project, a privately financed toll road designed to relieve congestion along the Riverside Freeway in Orange County.
Hulsizer, who has been working for the city since September, 1993, told City Council members on Monday about his intention to resign.
“The decision to leave Stanton was a very difficult one,” he said. “My experience as your city manager has exceeded my expectations.”
Mayor Harry Dotson, after meeting with Hulsizer to discuss his resignation, sai:
“It is with great reluctance that Stanton accepts Greg’s resignation. He came running into Stanton, and he has changed the momentum of our council and staff. Stanton has grown in stature and will continue to do so because he has set the pace for the future.”
Hulsizer will begin his new job on Feb. 1.
